Privacy statement:

The IMAGINE site does not store or capture personal information but merely logs the user's IP (Internet Protocol) address, which is automatically recognised by the Web server. The IP address is a unique number identifying an individual computer connected to the Internet. We use IP addresses contained in the Web server's log files to analyse trends, administer the site, track user movements through the site as an aid to future development, and gather broad demographic information to provide statistics.

Forms:

We do not hold lists of emails generated from the feedback forms on the IMAGINE website. The contact details and information which individuals may have supplied, such as name, email address, postal address, telephone and fax numbers, will, unless specific permission has been obtained, be used solely to respond to the individual requests from the senders. None of the contact information is shared with any company or institution other than internally in Tyne & Wear Museums.

Cookies:

Cookies are used within IMAGINE, as within many major websites. These are pieces of information stored by the user's web browser on behalf of a web site and returned to the web site on request. The IMAGINE website uses cookies to carry data about your current session at the site from one web page to the next, and to identify you to the site between visits. This privacy policy only covers the IMAGINE website at http://www.imagine.org.uk. Other links within this site to other websites are not covered by this policy.

TWM has used all reasonable endeavours to put in place appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the information you provide is secure.

Notification of changes:

If we need to change our privacy policy, TWM will post any changes in its website privacy policy document so that users are always aware of which information is collected, how it is used and under which circumstances, if any, it would be disclosed. If at any point TWM decides to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, TWM will notify users by email. Users will have a chance to inform TWM not to use their information in a different manner. TWM will use information in accordance with the privacy policy in place when the information was collected.
