(Animalia, Invertebrata, Mollusca, Cephalopoda, Belemnoidea, Cylindroteuthis Sp.)
Cylindroteuthis was a belemnite, a squid like animal that lived in the sea. The fossilised bullet-like remains of this creature were surrounded in life by soft fleshy material. Belemnites had tentacles, which they used to help them capture prey. They were eaten by marine reptiles, including the dolphin-like ichthyosaur.
